"Pynappel is a bronze sculptural work depicting a pineapple fragment grenade. The base is made from a pinecone to imitate the bulges of the grenade. The work speaks to the destruction that war has on the natural environment. I subvert the man-made and the natural by using an aspect of the environment to create the base of the grenade. The clinical finish of the grenade's signifiers furthers the juxtaposition between the natural and mechanical.
The process of sculpture is inherently masculine due to past associations of gender binaries, as is war. The carving, melting, filing, drilling, angle-grinding, firing, and patination speak to the masculinity of the piece. The harsh dark black-brown patination mimics an actual grenade and thus military uniforms and weaponry. The fragmentation of the grenade when used is what causes the destruction."

The Hound was a small sculptural side project in which the artist modeled the subject after her own dog. The dog is depicted laying on her back, reaching behind with her head and with only two legs.
